Shipping policy

At Alexander’s Meals, we work hard to make delivery day smooth, reliable, and convenient for every customer. Please review the information below before placing your order.

Delivery Areas

We currently offer local delivery throughout the Greater New Orleans area, including:

Uptown
Downtown
Mid City
Lakeview
Metairie
Old Metairie
River Ridge
Harahan
Select surrounding areas

Delivery Schedule

Prepared meal deliveries take place every Tuesday between 3:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Orders placed during the week are delivered the following Tuesday unless otherwise noted on the menu page. During holidays or special event weeks, delivery schedules may be adjusted. Any changes will be communicated in advance by email and text message.

Order Minimums & Delivery Fees

Orders over $100 qualify for free local delivery. Orders under $100 are subject to a local delivery fee. Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your location.

Please note: Gift cards and discounts may affect your cart total at checkout.

Free delivery eligibility is based on the final order subtotal after discounts and promotions are applied unless otherwise stated.

Delivery Instructions

Please include any important delivery notes at checkout, including:

Gate codes
Apartment or suite numbers
Preferred drop-off instructions
Business names or delivery details

We are not responsible for delays caused by incomplete or incorrect delivery information.

Delivery Windows

Our delivery windows are estimated and may vary slightly based on weather, traffic, volume, or special events in New Orleans. While we do our best to stay on schedule, exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed. Customers will typically receive reminder communications on delivery day or the day before delivery.

Missed Deliveries

If no safe delivery location is available and we are unable to complete delivery, we may attempt to contact you. Redelivery may not be available the same day. Additional delivery fees may apply for redelivery requests.

For food safety reasons, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds for orders that are successfully delivered to the address provided at checkout.

Insulated Bag Exchange

Many orders are delivered in reusable insulated delivery bags. We kindly ask customers to leave previous Alexander’s Meals bags outside during delivery for exchange whenever possible.

We also offer pickup options at select partner locations, including:

Pickup instructions and timing will be included in your order confirmation and reminder messages.

Food Safety

Please refrigerate meals promptly after delivery or pickup. Heating instructions, best-by dates, and allergen information are provided with each order whenever applicable.

Need Your Order By a Specific Time?

Our delivery routes are optimized based on location and overall route efficiency, so we’re unable to guarantee exact delivery times within the delivery window. If you need your order by a specific time, we strongly recommend selecting one of our pickup options at checkout for the most reliable timing.
